WHO I AM
Let me introduce myself.
My name is Violetta. I am an artist and designer. I have been creating things all my life as I can remember.
I am inviting you to visit my world where my artistic vision is blending with crafting skills like sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering etc.
My long enough career in fashion as a pattern cutter brought me to the point that I enjoy painting more and creating the artworks becomes my true nature.
This year I am graduating with a BA in Fine Art from Art Academy in London.
My practice explores identity, memory, and cultural inheritance through painting, drawing, textiles, and archival imagery. Rooted in the visual language of Ukrainian folk art and shaped by personal family history, my work brings together traditional craft processes with contemporary mixed-media practice.
My layered works often combine soft monochrome portraiture on fabric with vivid floral motifs inspired by Ukrainian decorative traditions, creating a dialogue between fragility and endurance, intimacy and collective history.
Textiles play a central role in my work - not only as material, but as a carrier of memory and cultural identity. I transform personal archives into tactile visual narratives. My practice is deeply connected to the idea of continuity: how stories, images, and rituals survive across time, geography, and displacement. The handmade quality of the work emphasises intimacy and care, inviting viewers to reflect on their own relationships to memory, ancestry, and belonging.
Balancing delicacy with strength I celebrate beauty not as decoration alone, but as a form of connection, endurance, and cultural survival.

I take commissions on portraits as a painting in oils or as a drawing.
I am open to collaborations with fashion designers, other artists or anyone creative.
I am offering my services as a pattern cutter.
